Special Education Coordinators provide support for program development and provide assistance to special education teachers across BSED. Individual coordinator roles vary by district.  The consultation is provided through:

 

Providing leadership, guidance, and administrative support for building administrators, general and special educator related service providers, parents, and outside agencies in educational and legal areas related to special education, including but not limited to referral, evaluation, and eligibility for special education;  the development of IEPs; and the delivery of special education and related services required to implement IEPs.
